Recognizing that our friends and neighbors in Atlanta and the surrounding suburbs have played a huge part in the success of Flax Dental, Dr. Hugh Flax and his team do what they can to “give back.”

• 1988 – Present, Big Brothers Organization
• 1989, Chairman, United Way committee of Northern District Dental Society (doubled previous year’s Campaign)
• 1998-2002, “Smiles for Life” campaign to raise funds for cancer research at St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Memphis, TN
• 1998-Present, “Give Back A Smile” program to help abused women
• 2001 - Present, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Team In-Training -- corporate sponsor and top fundraiser
• Founding Member of the Southeast 22Q Parent Support Group and Professional Liaison
• Parent Advocate for the Southeastern Regional Center for Excellence for 22Q (http://www.route22q.org/ )
• 2005 – Planning Committee and Professional Liaison for Southeastern 22Q Support Group
• 2005 – Present, Fundraiser for Academy of Comprehensive Esthetics Hurricane Relief Fund and other related charities
• 2008 - Candy Buy Back program to support troops overseas
• 2009 - Dental health advisor, Queen of Hearts Foundation, dedicated to empowering women regarding their heart health through awareness, education and information
