Dr Flax,

As you know, in my childhood I had illness, high fevers, and tetracycline that left me with teeth that were discolored, misshapen and frankly a complete mess. Over the years I compensated by just hiding my teeth. I perfected the closed lip grin to replace what would be a tooth filled smile with most people. I avoided going to a dentist so I wouldn't even have to think about my teeth. I generally blocked the complete thought of my teeth from my mind.

I came to you with encouragement from family members to finally look for a solution to my tooth problem. I arrived apprehensive and generally not comfortable with dentists. At an intellectual level your professionalism instantly won my confidence, though emotionally I remained apprehensive. Throughout the process the skill, caring, and genuine empathy shown by you and your staff won me over at an emotional level to where my apprehension completely disappeared. In fact I now genuinely enjoy my visits to your office. All the procedures during all the steps far exceeded my expectations in comfort, quick recovery, and results. You truly are the absolute best not just at cosmetic dentistry, but also general dentistry.

Now that I have my final porcelain, the results are beyond belief. I don’t have “Hollywood teeth”, but have my teeth as if they grew in perfectly to begin with. The result is so natural; they simply are the teeth I was meant to have. Dr. Awbrey, the orthodontist that worked with us on this little “project” said you deserve some sort of award for what you did. I completely agree.

I smile now. I smile a real smile filled with great looking teeth and I smile a lot. I’m comfortable showing my teeth. It’s really only after getting into my temporaries, where my old teeth were no longer, did I start to really realize how much my old bad teeth bothered me and affected me. Already I look at old pictures, the few showing my old teeth, and I’m completely shocked at how bad they were. Already my old bad teeth seems so far in the past, and no longer a part of me. Without question this tooth transformation has been life changing. For this I will forever be grateful to you. What you do for people is beyond a business, or a career, it is a gift and a life purpose. Because of that I admire you greatly. Thank you.
