11 Dental Videos Guaranteed to Make You ROFLOL

Dentists are generally portrayed in a negative light in pop culture. These negative stereotypes are often complete falsehoods about dentists and about dentistry in general. Even though they are false portrayals of dentists, they are often hilariously funny. I decided to put this list together of dental related videos from popular movies, television shows, or other artists from the past several decades. Some of the videos show failures of characters trying to impersonate a dentist, perform self dental work, or other dental related humor. It’s okay, feel free to spend a little time watching them. Share them with a friend, it will brighten your day and you’ll be happy you did! Here we go with our list of Top 11 hilarious dental videos.

 1. The Simpsons – Ralph Wiggum is frightened by the Book of British Smiles.

This video shows Ralph Wiggum at the dentist. He is trying to tell the dentist that he brushes his teeth three times a day, but the dentist is not buying it. He breaks down and finally admits that he never brushes his teeth. At this point, the dentist whips out his copy of The Book of British Smiles, which is another funny dental stereotype about the horrible condition of British Teeth. The frightening images scare Ralph until he just can’t take it anymore!

2. Dental scene from Finding Nemo.

This funny scene from Finding Nemo shows Nemo and his newly found dental office aquarium fish friends watching a root canal being performed. The experienced fish discuss the different methods that the dentist is using and his overall technique as if they themselves were actual dental experts.

3. Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer – Hermey wants to be a dentist instead of one of the toy makers.

This scene has been around for a while. The movie Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer was released in 1964 and has been a holiday tradition for many. Hermey, one of Santa’s elves, is chastised by his supervisor for not wanting to build toys for Santa. The reason that he can’t quite focus on making toys is because all he can think about is studying to be a dentist! He finds himself a “misfit” among the rest of Santa’s elves and ends up befriending the other “misfit” from the movie, Rudolph himself.

4. The Simpsons – Bart plays with and breaks grandpa’s dentures then tries to fix them with tape.

Here The Simpsons made the list a second time. Bart steals grandpa’s dentures and breaks them while playing with them. They break into several pieces and Bart tries to fix them by taping them back together. Bart hurries to tape them back together and get them back into grandpa’s mouth before Homer and Marge get home. Grandpa has problems trying to talk to Homer with the newly taped dentures.

5. Weird Al Yankovich sings his dental song “Cavity Search”

Weird Al has been quite popular in 2014, releasing his new album and videos online. This one isn’t a video or a song from his latest album, but rather a song by Weird Al Yankovic titled Cavity Search from his 1996 album Bad Hair Day. It is a parody of the song Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me by U2. Weird Al’ version says, “Drill Me, Floss Me, Bill Me.”

6. Seinfeld – Kramer goes to the dentist and gets numbed up a little too much.

Kramer goes to the dentist and gets his mouth numbed for the procedure. His mouth continues to stay numb and starts to cause all sorts of hilarious problems and situations. He ends up being the guest of honor and sang to by Mel Tormé at a meeting for Able Mentally Challenged Adults (AMCA).

7. The Carol Burnett Show – Tim Conway hilariously impersonates a dentist.

Tim Conway, who is obviously not a dentist at all in this skit, has a patient come into his office for a tooth extraction. Tim has trouble naming the tools, and needs to pull out his manual on how to pull out a tooth. He ends up injecting himself with novocaine a number of times and has trouble using his limbs to perform the procedure. The actor who is the patient is having such a hard time not laughing at Tim during this skit and the whole thing is just too funny.

8. The Simpsons – Lisa’s dentist explains to her that she will need braces.

The Simpsons has so many funny episodes that it managed to make this list for a third time. This time Lisa makes a trip to the dentist. The dentist recommends that Lisa get braces for her teeth. The dentist shows a depiction of what will happen if she does not get braces in order to scare her into getting them. Bart cracks his typical jokes whenever there is an opportunity.

9. Friends – Ross over whitens his own teeth and tries to hide it from his date.

This episode is priceless. Ross decides to whiten his own teeth for an upcoming date and leaves the whitener on for an extra 24 hours to make them really shine. The result is a smile that is oh so obvious. Ross spends the rest of the episode trying to hide his overly white teeth from his date. This one is a must watch.

10. Mr. Bean gets into trouble at the dentist.

Mr. Bean gets into trouble at the dentist like no one else could. He is fascinated by all of the tools and utensils at the dental office. He just can’t help himself and starts to play with the tools when the dentist isn’t looking. Very funny, although the dentist probably didn’t think so!

11. Sinbad tries to impersonate a dentist from the movie Houseguest

In this scene from the movie Houseguest, Sinbad is pretending to be a dentist. He starts off by trying to read some X-rays in front of another dentist. He later accidentally numbs both of his hands before a class of dental students come to be instructed by watching him perform a live tooth extraction. He tries to perform the extraction while under close scrutiny of other dentists and dental students. This is a super funny movie scene.

Well, that’s all 11 scenes. I hope you enjoyed our list of Top 11 hilarious dental videos, had a good laugh, and learned a few things. As these videos illustrate, some things are just better left to properly trained dental professionals! If you enjoyed these videos, share them with a friend. A good laugh is always a good thing to share!
