ANTI-AGING–There’s so many things we can do

For the past year, I have focused a great deal of my post AACD Presidency “spare time” getting rid of a spare tire and reading books like Younger Next Year. It is amazing how many wonderful things are available to enhance the mind, body, and soul at any age. Although I don’t read it regularly, AARP.org had a terrific article called “Age Proofing Your Brain”.   Given that my dad suffered with Alzheimers, like many Americans, I want to give it a good read and application of the many ideas to help incease the secretion of a chemical called IGF-1, that nourishes and protects nerve cells.

At Flax Dental, we are commited to anti-aging and wellness. With techniques like using the Velscope, Oral DNA testing, Carifree, implants, and bite management, we are able to help you live longer, smile better, and feel younger. Give us a call if we can help.

What are some of Anti-Aging Tips that YOU can recommend to others?

  1. You have touched on muscle building and mediation… Don’t forget stretching! Yoga and pilates builds strength and makes you limber. Also, it relieves stress! Yoga combined with the bite adjustment by Dr Flax… has relieved my chronic neck pain. Now, if I can just remember to wear my BG! =p

  2. It is well proven that good oral hygiene decreases the risk of heart disease, stroke, diabetes and numerous other health issues. Taking the time to brush properly, floss daily and get regular dental check-ups can improve your overall health and wellness and add years to your life and smile.
