Flax Dental Care Announces New Scholarships
- Posted on: Mar 4 2015
The team at Flax Dental Care are doing their part in giving back to the next generation of students concerned with the health and care of our pearly whites. Dr. Flax has been a strong advocate for the advancement of dentistry and the quality of care that patients receive. He has served as President of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and founded the Georgia Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
In continuing this investment in the future of dental care, Flax Dental is currently accepting applications for two $500 scholarships. These scholarships are intended for applicants working on a dental hygiene or dental assistant program at a university or college in Georgia.
To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must be a graduating high school senior, a soon-to-be college freshman, or a current college student at a Georgia college or university. A minimum 3.0 GPA, on a 4.0 scale, is required. In addition to the GPA requirements, applicants must both fill out the application and submit a 400-600 word essay.
The Flax Dental Scholarship has two different deadlines for 2015. Applications for students working on a Dental Assisting track are due June 15th, 2015 and applications for students pursuing a Dental Hygienist track are due November 15th, 2015. You can find the application for both of these scholarships here.
