At Flax Dental in Atlanta, our approach to care is simple: every visit should be detailed, respectful, and grounded in the best technology and training available.
A recent checkup with one of our returning patients perfectly illustrated what that looks like in practice.
Every Detail, Every Time
We begin with a full set of photos—both full-face and close-up shots of your teeth. From there, we take panoramic and cavity-detecting X-rays, along with a 3D scan of your bite. These diagnostics give us a complete view of your oral health—both structurally and cosmetically.
We walk you through each image and explain everything. It’s a collaborative conversation, not a lecture.
And yes, we laugh, too. During this last visit, we joked about who might play me in a movie. (Brad Pitt’s name came up, for the record.)
Always Innovating for Better Care
I recently completed a year-long advanced training program in Chicago. That training allows us to offer treatments that are faster, more precise, and more affordable.
One example is “The Wand”—a modern device that replaces the old metal syringe. It delivers numbing without the typical discomfort, and patients love it. Some dentists are still using tools from the 1800s. We believe patients deserve better.
One of my patients recently said during her visit, “You stay pretty innovative, huh? You’re always up to date on the latest.” That kind of feedback tells me we’re on the right track.

Meet the Team Behind the Visit
You’ll meet Curcilla—my assistant and, quite literally, my right hand. She’s the one capturing high-precision images and measurements. She keeps the visit smooth, and she makes sure you know what’s happening every step of the way.
Looking Good, Long-Term
For patients beginning Invisalign, we combine imaging with 3D scans to ensure teeth are positioned correctly and stay that way. Want to see the difference for yourself? Visit our Smile Gallery to view real patient transformations.
What to Expect
When I moved into this space in Atlanta, the skyline view and natural light sealed the deal. It just so happened a dentist was already here. It felt meant to be.
At Flax Dental, you’ll experience the most thorough dental visit you’ve ever had. We don’t rush, and we don’t rely on outdated tools or one-size-fits-all approaches. Whether it’s your first visit or your fiftieth, we treat every patient like their smile matters—because it does.
