Can I remove my aligners for special events?
Yes. Invisalign is designed to be flexible for real life. If you have a wedding, photoshoot, or big event, it’s okay to take them out temporarily.
Just make sure to wear them 20–22 hours a day to stay on track. Skipping too many hours can slow down your treatment or cause your aligners to fit poorly.
What are Invisalign aligners made of?
They’re made from SmartTrack®, a patented BPA-free plastic engineered for comfort and precision. This material helps your aligners fit snugly and apply constant, gentle pressure for effective tooth movement.

Will Invisalign affect my speech?
You may notice a slight lisp in the beginning, but most people adjust quickly.
Want to speed up your adjustment? Try reading out loud for a few minutes a day during your first week.
What should I do if I lose or break an aligner?
Call our Sandy Springs office immediately at (404) 800-3381.
In the meantime:
- If you just switched aligners, go back to your previous set.
- If you’re almost due to switch, we may advise you to move forward.
